Omar Kamal is a Partner and a co-founder of B8 Venture Partners Limited. He is an independent holistic thinker and one of the early people who spotted the opportunity created by “Embedded Finance.” Omar oversees venture sourcing and manages relationships with founders, leveraging his established network with entrepreneurs/ founders in the UK and USA.

Omar is a seasoned investor and has held leadership roles with several corporates. He has served at high-growth companies and multibillion-dollar corporates in various executive capacities. Until August 2015, he was the co-Group CEO of a business group owned by a prominent family with global reach based in Geneva, Switzerland. Prior to that he was one of the initial founders and acted as the CIO of a regional bank in the Middle East and before that, he was a partner with Ernst & Young on the advisory and consulting side. His experience covers principle investing, strategy consulting and entrepreneurship.

Omar has been involved in the VC ecosystem for more than two decades. He is an early investor in Onfido, threads (threadsstyling), pirate.com, simba, Arzooo, Floranow, ElementHuman, Cambridge Scientific Innovation (CSI) and Quench.

Omar currently serves/has served as an advisor/board member to Tifin, Onfido, ElmentHuman, CybSafe, coaching.com and Quiqup.
